The Last Bullet, The Last Breath
Sometimes, the toughest battles aren’t fought on the frontlines… but inside the heart.
It was a dark, freezing winter night when sudden gunfire echoed at Post No. 307. Everyone thought the enemy had infiltrated. Soldiers immediately took position, but strangely… the bullets weren’t coming from the front — they were coming from behind.
The company commander reported on the radio: “Sir, I suspect someone from inside is targeting us.”
Hearts pounded faster with fear and doubt.
For hours, a search operation continued, but no intruder was found. Then, a soldier’s torchlight fell upon a pair of boots buried under the snow. As the snow was cleared, a hidden tunnel appeared.
What they saw inside that tunnel left everyone stunned. There weren’t just weapons… but also documents linked to their own camp. It was clear—someone from within was passing secrets to the enemy.
Eyes turned sharp—who could it be? But before the name came out, the traitor shot himself. In his pocket, they found a single note that read: “Forgive me… it was helplessness.”
That night, the post was saved. But one burning question remained—Is the real war against the enemy outside, or the traitor within?
