In Devalok, a secret dance of the apsaras was organized. It was a rule that only Indra was allowed to attend this exclusive event. Arun, the charioteer of Surya, became deeply curious about this secret gathering. To satisfy his curiosity, he transformed into a woman and entered the assembly.

Arun’s feminine form was so unique and mesmerizing that even among the apsaras, his beauty stood out the most. Indra’s eyes fell on Arun, and he was captivated. They spent a night together, resulting in the birth of a son. By morning, Arun handed the child over to Ahilya Devi for care and returned to serving Surya.

When Surya learned about this, he too became eager to witness Arun’s feminine form. He summoned Arun and said, "Show me that form." Arun transformed into a woman once again. Enchanted by Arun’s beauty, Surya spent time with him as well. From their union, another son was born, who was also entrusted to Ahilya Devi’s care.
