When Sage Gautam learned about the incident, he was enraged and cursed the two children to transform into monkeys. Time passed, and Indra, desiring to meet his sons, named the elder one Bali and the younger one Sugriv.

The monkey king of Kishkindha, Rishiraj, adopted both brothers. To Bali, Indra gave a powerful blessing: "Anyone who fights against you will lose half their strength to you." This blessing made Bali invincible.

Thus, the mystery of Arun and the tale of Bali and Sugriv became immortal legends in the epic of Ramayana.
