Shaitan Singh, assessing the situation swiftly, thwarted the enemy's trap and engaged them strategically. He ordered his soldiers to silently attack from behind the enemy lines. The enemy, in turn, surrounded the Indian soldiers from all sides and intensified their attack. The situation became even more critical. Shaitan Singh knew this could be his last battle, but he did not retreat. He commanded his troop to attack the enemy at all costs and personally took position at the frontline to face the battle head-on.
In this fierce encounter, Shaitan Singh was struck by enemy bullets and attained martyrdom. His sacrifice led the Indian Army to victory in the conflict. His bravery and courage inspired Indian soldiers and kept his legacy alive even in challenging situations like the Kargil War. He was posthumously honored with the Param Vir Chakra.
Shaitan Singh's name will forever be etched in golden letters in Indian history. His unparalleled bravery and sacrifice continue to inspire generations. Such valiant sons of the soil deserve our heartfelt salute. Jai Hind!
