In 1971, a war broke out between India and Pakistan. At Rajasthan’s Longewala Post, Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri and his team of just 120 soldiers faced Pakistan’s entire tank regiment. It was nighttime when the Pakistani army launched its attack. The Indian soldiers had limited resources, but their courage and strategy led them to victory.

Major Kuldeep Singh received intelligence that around 40 tanks and 5,000 enemy soldiers were advancing toward them. This news shook him for a moment, but he resolved to defend his land at all costs. The Indian Army, following their strategy, held the enemy off throughout the night. Darkness surrounded the battlefield as gunfire and tank noises created a terrifying atmosphere.

Then, an unexpected incident occurred. One of the enemy tanks mistakenly attacked its own forces. This confusion was created by the Indian soldiers, who sent false information over the enemy’s radio frequency. Using this advantage, Indian soldiers destroyed many enemy tanks.

At dawn, the Indian Air Force took over and annihilated the enemy’s tanks and soldiers. However, several brave Indian soldiers were martyred in the battle. Thanks to Major Chandpuri’s bravery and leadership, this fight turned into a historic victory for the Indian Army.

Salute to such brave sons of the soil. Jai Hind.
