During the Indo-China war in 1962, Major Shaitan Singh and his battalion were stationed in the Reching La region of Ladakh. This area was extremely challenging and located at a high altitude, constantly under the enemy’s watch. Despite limited resources, Major Shaitan Singh and his battalion were entrusted with the responsibility of defending this crucial position. Considering the enemy's vast numbers and strength, it was a formidable challenge.

One night, amidst the cold winds and icy silence, Major Shaitan Singh suddenly sensed the possibility of an enemy attack. The Chinese army attempted to assault the Indian post from two directions. Using his sharp mind and strategic skills, Major Shaitan Singh alerted his battalion and positioned his soldiers to counter the enemy’s assault effectively.

Suddenly, the enemy launched an attack near the post using explosives, causing the entire area to shake. This explosion was part of a strategic trap meant to confuse the Indian soldiers.
