The year was 1965, during the India-Pakistan war. Pakistan sought to showcase its strength by using the 'Patton tanks,' which were considered some of the most powerful tanks in the world at the time. However, what Indian hero Abdul Hamid did in this war is written in golden letters in history.

Abdul Hamid was stationed in the Khemkaran sector. Here, the Pakistani army launched a deadly attack on the Indian border. With Patton tanks, the enemy targeted Indian posts. But Abdul Hamid, instead of retreating, decided to fight back with his "gun-mounted jeep."

It was morning. Amidst the dust and smoke, Abdul Hamid began targeting the enemy tanks. His jeep was surrounded by enemies from all sides. With his first shot, he destroyed a Pakistani tank. Without stopping, he continued targeting and destroying more enemy tanks.

In the midst of this extraordinary courage, the enemy tried to encircle him. But Abdul Hamid changed his position and destroyed three more tanks. While aiming at the fourth tank, the enemy targeted his jeep. With a loud explosion, his jeep caught fire. But he continued fighting until his last breath.

Because of his bravery, the entire enemy front broke down. This incredible battle in the Khemkaran sector led India to a decisive victory. In recognition of his bravery, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.

"Salute to such brave sons. Jai Hind."
